Knowing this still, Sara and Daniel have been living an ordinary life, everything has been going wonderful with their son Danny. Unfortunately good things never last! Sara, or Azrael has some hard decisions ahead of her. She has to think of her family as she battles in the apocalypse. Angels and Demons and the spirits that never let her rest keep telling her things and really making her unsure of herself and her ability. She needs to determine who is really on her side, who is her enemy.I really am loving this series! I love that there is a division amongst the angels. I really am fond of the newest character, Lucifer. He seems really dark, romantic and sexy!!! I cant wait for the next series to see who wins the war. I want to see Sara succeed. She deserves it for all the terrible mayhem she has had to endure!I would rate this 5 out of 5 fangsindependent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock

More twists, turns await the readers as they continue Sara's story By Kris After being sucked into this world with At Death's Door, I knew to expect another wild ride in book two, and of course I was not disappointed. Given where book one left us, it was sort of a given that things would implode once again with this book and absolutely that happens.I love that Astrid Tallaksen really gets you deeply involved with the characters, you can really feel their pain, fear, desperation, etc. Sara has been through so much and with this continuation of her story she goes through even more, but through all of the awful things, you can still see into the person Sara is and see her emotions and how she's breaking and yet, she's got a strong resiliance too. She may take a moment or two to wallow, but ultimately she's not the type to sit back and give up, not our Sara, she's not going down without a fight.Between Heaven and Hell introduces us to some new characters, while updating us on those we've previously met/seen in the story. I found these new characters to be pivotal to the future of the storyline. Without giving away spoilers, I can say that I look forward to seeing more interactions with a certain male character in the next book.There are definitely some crazy twists in this book, some quite unexpected and others that seemed pretty given as we read things play out. I know that the next book is going to be even more Epic and I can't wait to see what the battle brings Sara's way. I expect major revelations and further surprises thrown our way, but I can't wait.

Sara and Daniel are living back at their home in Wisconsin with son, Danny. They are hoping to live quietly and as a family. Unfortunately, the apocalypse waits for no one. Sara is getting messages telling them to run, but she is tired of running. But does she wait too late? Will she be able to keep herself and Daniel safe while keeping Danny out of the hands of Michael and Samael?This book didn’t move at quite the same speed as the first book. Most of this book is with Sara on the run or trying to find people (trying not to give spoilers). Her new travel partner, Lu, was a pleasant surprise. I shocked myself by not only liking this character but feeling sorry for him at times.We still have the same cast of characters, which included demons, angels, archangels, fallen angels, souls, and ghosts. Sara spent most of the book angry and hurt, for good reason, but it got old after a while. Though the first book moved at very good pace, I found this one to drag on a bit. There is an unexpected death and an unexpected love story. Unlike the first book, this part ends in a cliffhanger which you’ll have to wait until December for the final book in the trilogy (this according to her Facebook page).I preferred the pace of the first book and found this one a little long. But I am sure readers will enjoy the continuing saga. I would rate it 3.5/5.***Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock***

In her story, we meet our first human-wolf hybrid (Are there going to be more??) and a couple who would never have met otherwise fall in love. I was deeply moved by the heroine, looking for some peace and to see where she fits in the world. The hero is Alpha enough to want whats best for her and to love her regardless. Love this.

By Maghon Thomas I haven't read the other books of this series by this author, but I really liked this one I have read a book from this series written by a different author. :) That's kind of cool if you ask me. Different authors writing in the same series! So, when I signed up for the release day for the next book and figured I should read this one too :) So, let's talk about fun wolfy things LOL. Plus I just like werewolves, and this is a sweet, short, fun little adventure!Darci Diamond is a half breed. She has lived as a human, who hates and fights her wolf side. Her parents died when she was young, and her aunt raised her. Her aunt being human didn't know things about the werewolf part, so she did the best she could. But now, this last shift almost, well kinda did, kill Darci, so she's searching for help. From some unknown, unlikely sources, names her father left in a not to extensive letter. Poor kid. She didn't understand the wolf side, or how other werewolves live or act with each other. She also didn't know who her father was to this pack. So when she stumbles blindly, and a little naively, into unknown and unwanted territory, she's in for a rough ride. But at least Ross is a hawt piece LOL. I felt bad for Darci, though she over reacts a lot, she doesn't understand, so she is forgiven for her crazy. LOL I liked her though. She's had it pretty rough and I think she's overcome a lot with just a little.Ross is some kinda sexy. He's the perfect guy for me. Werewolf, loaded, but giving away his money, sweet, kind, funny, walking sex piece. LOL See, perfect. He's even extra nice to some crazy girl covered in mud who shows up at his door. And then he smells her. She's his mate. But now he not only has to to teach her everything but explain things to her. I loved him. And I loved that he was willing to do ANYTHING for her. And he can cook! YUM!The "bad guys" aren't really bad guys. First off, Darci is her own worst enemy, so she's fighting herself. It takes a good while for her to figure that out. Second, the bad guys actually have to over come a little prejudice so they aren't really bad, though they had me scared for a bit. Sometimes the past isn't always the best place to live in or rely on for info. :) Overall, the plot kept me interested and this is a short story, so it's a quick read! I can't wait to get more from this series! 5 WOLFY PAWS!

By Angela @ Angel's Guilty Pleasures ~ 4 Diamond Moon Stars ~Diamond Moon is book twelve in the Black Hills Wolves series by Celia Breslin and can be read as a stand-a-lone.CBreslin did a great job with the writing. I have read only one other book in this series and it feel below pair for me, but Diamond Moon surprised me with the story and writing.Darci our human-wolf hybrid has a big problem that could end with her life. She comes to the Black Hills seeking help and ends up finding more then she expected.Ross our full-blooded wolf never expected to find his mate when he came back to the Tao pack to help them rebuild. He has to find a way to save her and help her accept the wolf inside.Though the plot is not complicated their is a little conflict. Darci is not her father, but because of who he was and the type of wolf, it causes fear in the pack and others to see her differently. As for her little problem well I was impressed with the description of this issue and a little turned off (you will have to read to find out), but mostly impressed on how the author portrayed this. Ross really moved me with his understand. He held back his wolf, since he understood that Darci does not understand or know that they are mates. He helps her feel comfortable and when it’s time to save her, he follows his instincts. The relationship builds nicely for a short story.All around Diamond Moon was a good read and I enjoyed CBreslin’s writing style. 23 of 23 people found the following review helpful. He's Not Just Sulu. By Kevin T. McGuinness I just finished reading George Takei's autobiography the other night. This guy has led a fascinating life.When he was younger, he met Eleanor Roosevelt and Martin Luther King, Jr. His first job in show business was helping to dub "Rodan" into English. Before "Star Trek", he did movies with Richard Burton and Alec Guinness. And during the run of the show, he did a movie with John Wayne.Till I read this book, I also didn't know that he had spent 11 years on a commission in L.A. that was responsible for getting their subway system built.Interestingly, he doesn't go into a huge amount of detail about the show, though he makes his (and other cast members') reasons clear for not liking Shatner. And given certain revelations about Takei's personal life over the last few years, any discussion about relationships outside of his family and career are strangely absent from the book. Still, it's a good read.I do agree with other reviewers, however, that even with a length of 400 pages, this book seemed too short. Given that it came out in 1994, I would love to see Takei update and re-release it.

Personal Favorite By A Customer I very much enjoyed Mr.Takei's autiobiography, which is actually the story of an Asian man's experience in America, from the time of his internment at the Manzanar concentration camp as a young child, to his student days at UCLA, and his subsequent struggle against ethnic stereotyping at a time of very few opportunities for Asian actors. He shares very painful and personal memories with us of his career and family; his autiobiography continues through his Star Trek days of course, up to the present, with many intriguing revelations. What makes this book my favorite is that it is extremely well-written, in his voice, without the help of a ghost-writer. I hope this will not be the last I see of his writing. I don't know why one reviewer harped on George's comments on William Shatner, saying "he couldn't even finish the book" - strange comment, considering George's feelings on Shatner come in the middle, and constitute a few pages out of the entire book.This and Nichelle Nichol's are my two favorites from the cast, also written in her own voice, from the perspective of a minority actor in '50's America, and no less fascinating, in that she seems to have worked with or met almost every famous black performer at one time or another.

15 of 15 people found the following review helpful. An excellent book from a very intriguing person By A Customer I've read most of the books from the Star Trek ensemble. I, by far, enjoy most the books that are written by the biographer his/herself, such as George Takei has done. This is a true life story, and not just another solilquy of Star Trek life. His account of his early life is particularly fascinating (to quote Mr. Spock!). His unique insight, experiences, and literary talents make this book among the best autobiographies of any type. To illustrate just how good this book is, my wife, who is not particularly a Star Trek fan, grapped up this book and read it before I could! You most definitely DO NOT need to be a Star Trek fan to enjoy this work of art.

Pleased only because it took an awfully long time to get through the entire story. Disappointed because there will be no more. Buildup to the finale was so long, the end almost seems anti-climactic, not that it really was. Without giving away any details, I can only say I highly recommend it for enjoyable, light, entertaining, and a whole bunch of other positive adjectives. Just one thing. Read it from the start, in order please.

Even though it was well written and the story line was going well; I felt like I was not getting enough information in what was written. In a way I felt like I was being cheated by what was not written.If a person wished to finish the series and did not have Kindle Unlimited, the person would have to spend about $2.00 dollars for maybe 20 pages. So not worth the money then!

It felt as though the book had ended before it got to the end, if that makes any sense.I understand there are sequels, available for additional payments, but I was disappointed that this one was so short and ended so abruptly.

By corinna kinney When I started reading it and realized it was just a "teaser" and looked into what is what going to take to complete the story and realized I was going to have to buy it in "bits and pieces," I didn't even bother getting into it any further. I guess it's different for me when you are actually reading whole books as parts of a series but when you are reading a few chapters at a time and then waiting for more, it's really not worth the effort. Sorry...maybe when this whole "book=series" is written I'll revisit it and change my review at that time.

Very well written by technical authors and implementers with heavyweight credentials, not random ghostwriters paid to churn out a book. I felt I mostly knew what I was doing before, but the tips and insights in this book are invaluable. Hits all the basics and the deeper areas I don't have to visit often. Glad I waited for the 2nd edition.

In the neighborhood of fair to good By Jennifer First off, the author graciously offered me a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion :-)I'm not one to be rude, but you can't help notice that glaring typo right there on the cover page? At first I thought it may have been that I got a "bad copy" but here it is on the sale page, clear as day. To whomever was in charge of designing the cover: I'm sure you have good intentions, but please fix that misspelled "successful"Now on to the content: If you don't know too much about blogging you are getting the essentials: why you should try to purchase a domain name as opposed to the free platforms, social graces when commenting, and viewing niche competitors as allies instead, all very good. In response to that part about "free platforms", well, I can't speak for all of them as I do not use them but I am on Blogger and it is owned by Google which gives it good SERPs. It's a good place to supplement an existing domain you own. Instagram I hear good things about, but its not mentioned; not a lot said about social media. This is strictly one of those dip-your-toe books. If you are looking to sell a poorly performing blog (I'm one of those considering it) this is not one of those books.Other than that, please someone, fix that typo!

By Jen with Moments in West FL Angel is a surprising spit-fire of a genetic creation...a rare breed...which makes her that much more valuable and coveted by her caretakers and the Gran. She is sexual and is a little fireball of fury and cunning stealth when needed. Her make up is complex and makes her very unique indeed. After the betrayal of the one she grew to love and the loss of her father figure, she leaves on a journey to become a human slave to the Gran. The Gran are a catlike humanoid species that use genetically engineered humans as slave/workers. They are primal animals and feel superior to all ape-like species. Angel, having caught the eye of the leader of the ship, quickly learns she will be a sexual slave and used for breeding...even though she can't reproduce....doesn't mean she wont enjoy it or put on a good show ;) The book has a heat that catches you by surprise as much as it makes you laugh at some moments. I will be looking forward to the following books in the series to see how Angel fairs in this new situation.

All of which is sandwiched between heavy doses of even darker sexual escapades , with quite a lot of tinges of BDSM thrown in to keep all the vampires, shifters and “others” on their toes.This latest venture of his is into a future, where orbiting scientists are creating clone/drone workers for a race of alien Cats, in accordance to a “peace” treaty. Geek to Farm Girl Freak Unelmoija: Paradox by Elle Boca is the last book in the Weeia Series and in my opinion, the very best one in the Weeia collection.In this latest novel, new characters are introduced and several characters from the previous books are expunged - some more nicely than others. Amy and Kat are back in Miami, but this time with their grandparents from Maine helping them through the premature death of their mother. Duncan and Amy are still a couple in love and work well together in life and in all things Weeia. Vlad and his father, Klaus come back on the scene to cause major troubles for Kat and Amy along with the possibility of further human casualties if Amy cannot convince Klaus to change his devious plans. After many dead ends, Kat and Amy finally enlist the help of their father (the Enforcer for the Weeia) and a suspenseful, thrilling ride ensues that takes everyone on a wild and dangerous journey.From the previous four books, topics and events are brought back to the surface and questions are answered about Amy's ever-growing super-human powers. Amy has many abilities and all become honed to help fellow Weeia and humans alike. Aside from her other abilities, time travel becomes a very real option for Amy and her family when all else seems lost. Most all of the loose ends from the past installments of the series are tied up quite nicely and come together in a surprising ending that gives the reader a tremendous amount of closure to the series as a whole.If you have read the entire series up to this point, you will not want to miss Unelmoija: Paradox!

Unelmoija: Paradox By Amazon Customer Unelmoija: ParadoxA paradox is a statement or proposition that appears self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses or tells a possible truth. Within the pages of this novel one or many characters create situations that appear contradictory in nature and opinions or statements can be contradictory to common accepted opinion. Amy and Kat lost the one person that was constant in their lives their mother. Her death was horrific, heartbreaking and untimely. But, Amy and her sister Kat are strong and with the help of her grandparents and her boyfriend Duncan what they are about to endure, encounter and have to counteract will hopefully bind them together as things do not always appear to be what they are and someone close to them needs their help. Changing the past, timeshifting, dreamshifting, using her second sight and all four of her powers are just part of what Amy, Duncan, Kat and her grandparents will have to employ in order to counteract what someone has planned. With a strange visit from Kat’s ex-boyfriend Vlad and knowing that his father intends to create a nuclear disaster, what happens when New Lyon disappears, her father is in danger and what he thinks caused the disappearance of New Lyon. Added in their grandparents now play an important part as Vlad and his father, Klaus present a credible threat to not only them but to mankind. But, can Amy meet with Klaus and get his to change his mind? What about trying to connect with her father who seems to be at the center of this controversy as Klaus claims that her father, the Enforcer for the Weeia is the reason his father is dead. Trying to make sense of why Klaus is targeting so many just to get her father to apologize and take his punishment does not mean that what he is stating is the truth. Things spiral out of control when her father mentally links with her, she goes back in time to find him, brings him home and he appears to be on death’s doorstep unless her grandmother can figure out what is causing his problem and Amy can use one of her powers to bring him back. Klaus’s mind has deteriorated and he is convinced for some reason that Amy’s father is responsible for his father’s death and unless he stands before him and has his chance to take him out, he will destroy the nuclear power plant in Florida killing the entire population and more. How can Amy allow this to happen? What happens that causes her grandmother to doubt her father’s words? Just how is he connected to Klaus if at all? Sharing his background, how he wound up in Germany, the experiments he experienced and his disconnection with his father, allows readers to better understand Klaus. He continues to explain what he thinks happened to his father and why he blames Amy’s for what appears to be his father’s death but was it? Listening to him explain what he thinks was the link between her father and his you begin to wonder what is true and what is false. Added in Amy is attracting many Weeia who have camped outside her door, seem enamored with her and might endanger her safety. Discussing this with her grandparents, Kat and Duncan it is evident that her newfound powers might have something to do with others being so attracted to her and even might cause her to be on the radar of the elders. Eventually they will realize that she is the Unelmoija and this could change the dynamics of her life, as finding out more about her father will too. Learning why her mother took her and her sister away, hearing him say he had them kidnapped and showing no remorse or sorrow for what they endured, you begin to wonder why she would even care about a relationship with this man even though Kat seems to want one even more.As the story continues we learn the link between Klaus and Thomas aka the Enforcer and things become clearer but dangerous. When going back in time Klaus changed the course of events and as a result he and Thomas might face more than the nuclear blast he had planned. The year was 1935 and it was a highly volatile time in Berlin and the United States. The plan devised was to go back to that year and create a plan to capture and kill Klaus’s father before he was even born. A time circle is powerful and those within it are safe but when those with Klaus broke free of the circle they disappeared and what happened to him was startling as no one knew him, recognized him and he was alone. As a result of what is revealed within the pages of Chapter 22 the reader will come to understand what he endured and then decide if he was right in accusing Thomas of killing his father. As Kat, Duncan, Amy, her grandmother and Kat’s new boyfriend Eduard go back in time and relive the events of the past what they learn will alter their lives forever and the definition of paradox becomes crystal clear. The alterations in the timeline can and does have huge affects of the rest of the timeline. Her father has what her grandmother calls Timeshifting Illness and this changes it all. A paradox she related is a bad situation. As both Klaus and his son Vlad have to come to terms with the outcome what will be the fate of the rest? A startling revelation is made in page 252 as the truth behind Klaus and Thomas’s connection is revealed. Time waves: Powerful and both Klaus and Thomas have kept them as the grandmother states AT BAY but now with what has happened and their lives weakening the rest need to distance themselves from them both before they meet the same fate.Events forced the group to have to find a new time period and place to live. What happens will surprise readers as wherever you go you find people in need of help, those that need to be dealt with and environments that need to be explored. Survival, family loyalties, love, friendships, understanding and one young girl who kept it all together even though the Pardox came true, their lives changed, what looked untrue was really the truth and some difficult situations proved you can endure just about anything if you try.Author Elle Boca completes the Unelmoija series with an ending that will surprise readers and twists and turns that make you wonder if she might bring back the next generation and see if they are able to return to the present as the rest remain well you need to read the book to find out where. What happens to her father and Klaus? Why did they have to teleport and timeshift ? How will they survive? What about their skills and talents? Amy and Kat still reeling from the death of their mother are trying to move on with their lives. Their grandparents and Duncan have moved in, hoping to raise their spirits and morale. They cope the only way they know how, by eating copious amounts of food. The most described and detailed part of this book are the massive meals (and I do mean massive) and it just made me want to eat! All eating aside, the proverbial s*** hits the fan when, Vlad (the traitorous friend mentioned earlier in the series) , storms into their house and demands that the family help his father. Vlad's father, Klaus, is suffering from a severe meltdown and is convinced that Kat and Amy's dad is responsible for his dad's death. If he doesn't get the chance to kill him, he threatens to destroy the nuclear power plant and kill all of Florida. Amy promises to help find him some answers because she's not convinced that her father is a murderer (although he is a jerk). What she discovers will change the very fabric of their lives and all their futures.While it can be confusing at times, readers will enjoy the timeshifting and troubling consequences that arise from it. Definitely ambitious, there is a twist at the end that will leave many wondering about more titles in the series. An urban fantasy that Floridians, food lovers, and adventure seekers will surely enjoy.I received this book for free from the author in return for my honest, unbiased review.

Right away, Ana gets into the action and its a roller coaster ride to the finish. Having read Enhancement, I liked getting to know this character and her motivations. It's really cool to see how the technology and setting from Enhancement fit into this short read. The futuristic Baltimore setting, police drones, and genetic enhancements were all nice touches to this world. I loved the twists in this story that lead up to Enhancement, and the action/thriller elements of this book. Can't wait to see the next adventure in this series!

The story kept me flipping my pages anxiously awaiting what would happen next. The details help me to feel as if I'm witness to what is playing out in the story in real time. Melchiorri has become an even stronger author as he publishes each book and I'm loving that I get to be apart of it with each book I read. Thumbs up all around!

A Taut, Suspenseful Novella By Christopher C Fatal Injection is a taut, suspenseful novella which provides interesting backstory on one of the secondary characters from Anthony Melchiorri’s Black Market DNA series. A quick but engaging read, it rewards readers who are familiar with other books in the series while also standing on its own as an independent and intriguing story. Set in 2050s Baltimore, it follows one shift of a police officer and her partner as they try to unravel a plot set in motion by members of the illegal genetic enhancement trade which is ensnaring innocent bystanders. I read it in one unbroken session – the story pulls you in! It’s definitely worth checking out.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A Teenage Daydream By Cheetahchirps I was ecstatic to find this on Amazon and I immediately ordered it. I've never forgotten this amazing tale from the 60's when the Mod takeover was in full bloom. Little things stuck with me, like the girls wearing something frilly on top paired with leather trousers or vice versa. Excellent fashion advice, I thought at the time! I think the movie "Wild in the Streets" had a lot of the same elements but it was a bit silly and the English setting of this book was more fascinating and exotic. I wish the Stones would have made a film of it because I think Keith and Mick could have carried it off. Back then, it was the ardent wish of many people my age that exactly what happens in this book take place. But be careful what you wish for...

I wasn't around when The Rolling Stones were interested in making this book into a movie but having saying that, I am in love with the movie, 'Only Lovers Left Alive'... the loosely based interpretation of the book. But both are awesome, just in different ways. *Amaze!!!!!*

The reason I read this book was because a projected film project for thew Rolling Stones, in 1966 ,was to be based on this book. Thankfully, the film never happens because the premise for this book doesn't either. I found the book quite dull but readable.

By steve thorne This book was so much fun to read. Weaves the amazing achievements of the Apollo missions into a suspenseful modern novel with international intrigue. Thompson did his research and describes so beautifully and accurately the details of the precarious events that went into a 'routine' moon shot that we get a great sense of the danger the astronauts faced and the bad-ass technical accomplishments that had to all word perfectly to making it all happen. And, all with a modern twist that perhaps foretells the future role for Space-X. Just an awesome story and a great tribute. The NASA guys are going to love it. I would personally love to see this made into a movie!

Gallloway I remember standing on the corner of 16th & Glenarm reading a copy of the Denver Post that I had just bought from the newsboy on the corner. I was surrounded by people doing the same thing. We were all reading about the launch of Sputnik. So, I've lived through it all: "Houston, the Eagle has landed," Houston, we have a problem," all of it. This book brought back so many memories, and was a great read to boot. (And a great price, thank you Mr. Thompson.) You can't go wrong with this one.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A Must Read THRILLER! By Jim Floyd Superbly crafted, Tom Clancy-like thriller that rivets you to your seat from the first page to the last. The Chinese are on the march - attempting to hide a mysterious lunar probe on the dark side of the mood. But why? A recently retired space shuttle is quickly re-commissioned and brought out to the launch pad one last time in order to launch a spy satellite that might provide answers. Then half way through the ride to orbit disaster strikes. Someone has armed the space shuttles self destruct sequence remotely. As US/Sino tensions escalate to a fever pitch - the president must act, before the America's vast, technology reliant military is rendered useless. But a budget slashed, hollowed out NASA has no more Space Shuttles or heavy lift boosters. Will America beg Russia for help? Or is there another way? The only way to avert war is to find out what the Chinese are up to - to directly peer at their suspected lunar base - with the riskiest, boldest plan ever devised. How? By standing on the shoulders of a Giant! A must read!
