Venice, early 1300s. Young Angelo is in love with a beautiful widow. She seems to like him, too. His best friend, Domenico, doesn’t understand why Angelo is chasing someone who is so much older, but that’s not a problem. The real problem starts when Domenico introduces his fiancée to Angelo . . . With the story of Sir Lancelot as the inner story, this fourth installment of I REMEMBER YOU is the heart of the series. The concern Aquan had for Auri (Alex) in Book 1 is becoming real. Nancy gets what she wanted, and yet she is not happy about it. The way Derek reacts has a lasting effect beyond this past life.

It’ll dazzle you for sure like a sunset that ”races across the farthest mountain crest, brushing its torch against the sky, flaming into vermilion, saffron and bronze”.This story is a compact dose of solid fantasy that whisks you to faraway, mystical lands and leaves you with deep yearning for adventures filled with crooked towers and mournfully dripping rain on moss covered paths. In the story Faro, a boy who was bought from his previous master with a pile of gold coins, knows that he has to make himself indispensable in the eyes of his new owner, Jaxom Re. Little does Faro know what Jaxom Re has planned for him. Maybe trying to be indispensable is not such a good idea after all?I find it delightful that this story was written a long time ago. The author’s love for the rich, vivid world of fantasy shines through very clearly, and to know that the story has been sitting aside for so many years makes me want to treasure it even more. Thank you for sharing Faro’s story with us, Josh Lanyon. And a tentative suggestion — please rummage through your old files and boxes one more time, Mr. Lanyon. I can only imagine what sort of treasures you still have hidden in there...An afterthought:I wonder exactly at what point did Josh Lanyon make himself indispensable for me, his reader? And I realize there is only one possible answer to this — from the very first lines I ever read from him. Yeah, he has The Gift.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. great scenery, and just pure fun By padme35 This is a little fantasy ditty from the minds of Josh Lanyon. An author note at the end tells us "Once upon a time, a long time ago, I really, really wanted to write fantasy and speculative fiction. This dusty little story was my first published attempt." Although at one time it seemed Josh had plans to make this into a series, it doesn't really seem to likely now but this reader can tell you that if ever does decide to further the adventures of Faro and Jaxom Re, I will read them. This story is outside the norm of what we usually find from the writings of Mr. Lanyon but still excellently done. Multi-dimensional characters, intriguing storyline, great scenery, and just pure fun.

Time Anomaly: A Time Travel Romance (Echo Trilogy, #2), by Lindsey Fairleigh

About the Author Lindsey Fairleigh lives her life with one foot in a book--as long as that book transports her to a magical world or bends the rules of science. Her novels, from post-apocalyptic to time travel and historical fantasy, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure and romance. When she's not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time reading and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her very confused cats.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. another beautifully written sensual installment By Jeannie Zelos Echo Queen (Echo Trilogy, #2) Lindsey FairleighReview from jeannie zelos book reviewsGenre: paranormal romance.Well, sometimes you get a book that’s such a great read it’s hard to put down and I knew after reading Echo Prophecy and the novella Resonance that this would be one of those. I sat reading in bed telling myself “just one more chapter”, and then of course I needed to read one more, and one more after that...If you like a story that is full of detail, complex and with amazing realistic characters you’ll love this. Its centred around Lex and Marcus again, but a good portion of the book takes place 4,000 years previously, in old Egypt. That was fascinating and I really enjoyed the way Lindsey wove the past and present together. I was worried that I’d miss Marcus, but his younger self, Heru, was just perfect and it was a treat to meet him in his (relative) youth and see how he’d changed.Of course its not all sweetness and light, they still face the problem of Apep, who’s now managed to jump into Marcus, putting Lex into danger. Lex also needs to learn how to manage the power Nuin gave her before it kills her, and meeting him in the past allows that though it’s a close call at times. I love his cryptic answers – can see just why Lex found them so frustrating though! I enjoyed meeting more new characters, and keeping up with ones we already know, trying to work out who can be trusted and who may be working against them. Its a fantastic read, emotive, erotic, and full of detail. I loved the way Lex learned to manipulate content/stuff...not sure what to call it ... from the At. Its also very cleverly done how Lindsey manages to work ways round the problems of time, such as the bonding issue and separation dangers, Lex learning to manage time and space to do what she needs and how to let her future and past selves know what to do. Clever stuff, and everything fits well within the framework of skills we’ve learned about. I HATE when the hero/heroine gets some new, untold, unheard of superpower just at the right time. There were times that Lex only managed to connect properly with her powers at the crucial moment, where stress forced the issue and brought forward her motivation and control, but she and the others did nothing that the foundations for the reader hadn’t already been laid.Once again an amazing read, riveting story, fabulous descriptions, mysteries and secrets to solve, and all rounded up with lots of sensuality between Lex and Marcus/Heru.Stars: Five – its one of those series that I know I’ll re read back to back once all parts are out. I can look back already and see where i missed some of the clues, where things were suggested but I haven't picked up on, and I’d like to look again at some of the characters in the early stages of meeting them, knowing how they turn out later. I read a lot - 15+ books a week - so it’s sometimes difficult to recall exactly who people are and how they fit in the story, when I’ve read several hundred in the mean time. Its why a good back to back read works so well for me, where I can immerse myself fully, lose myself in the magic of the story and really enjoy the novels properly.ARC supplied by author

By Gloria Herrera "For most people, time is a river, flowing in only one direction...but Alexandra Larson isn’t most people."Threatened by an evil spirit who loves to possess people in order to do his will, Lex is taken back several thousands of years to the Old Kingdom. The mystery and beauty of Egypt's Old Kingdom comes alive in vibrant detail as the Echo Trilogy continues. For Lex being able to experience the Old Kingdom for herself is a gift any archeologist would swoon over. There is no time for sight seeing. She is there for one purpose only - to learn from the great god Nuin how to handle the power he has transferred to her and use this power to prevent the chaos that is coming to current time.I am a sucker for anything dealing with Egypt. If on top of that I am given a complex, mystery/thriller, I am in heaven. In addition, if a love story and passionate romance is at the heart of the story... well, I am drooling. Marcus (Heru) is like rolling together Christian Grey and Gideon Cross into one and making him a god for real. I cannot get enough of the love affair between Marcus and Lex!Lindsey Farleigh amazes me with the level of detail and the complexity of her story. Once again, she has immersed me in story where I feel, smell and see the Old Kingdom in Egypt as if I were a time traveler myself. This absolutely wonderful story is meant for adults only.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Snapshot of Hell On Earth By Ursula K. Raphael The desolation and misery drips off every page. The monstrosities are terrifying. I'm not sure why anyone would want to survive. There is also a surprising amount of detail about this fallen world...it makes me wish Hash would write another story based in this apocalyptic nightmare - maybe one about a existing camp?

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Dark Dystopian By C. McMullen This is not your typical end of the world tale of action, adventure, and apocalypse preppers finally getting an excuse to shoot at things. This is an end of the world tale that is exactly as advertised. Desperation is an apt name. The survivors of this, interesting, unique, and yet still mysterious apocalypse are doing what they can to survive and questioning whether or not it's worth it.This is a short read, more if a vignette than a fully fleshed out story, but it ties loosely yet succinctly to the next. I imagine that once enough of these atmospheric scenes are written, they would make a nice collection to read on a dark and stormy night.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Unique Spin on Post Apocalyptic By Redmel76 The very first paragraph draws you in. So much so that I paused to let someone else read that first paragraph.....then had to plead for them to hand me back my Kindle! This story has a very unique twist that set my mind to turning, thinking of all the possibilities that could result from it. (No spoilers!)I am reminded of Asimoiv who would write a short and then years later write a novel drawn from the short. One can only hope that the same could happen here.

This is a book about building software when competition is fierce and speed and accuracy matter. Most people assume there is one “right” way to build software, and that’s that. While there are various fashion trends that infect software from time to time, none of them are as different as they like to think they are. There are some important but little-discussed facts about the mainstream consensus of software development: • It is mostly organized to give non-technical people confidence that things are OK, meaning on-time and on-budget. Its highest principle is predictability. Not speed. • It mostly doesn’t work. Studies support what everyone in the field knows: most projects fail outright, or have their goals changed to avoid admitting failure. So what we have are methods that are slow – and produce crappy results! What happened to slow but sure, or slow but steady? What we’ve got is slow and stupid. If everyone you compete against uses the same crappy methods, you’ll be OK. Your projects will be perpetually late and disappointing, but so will everyone else’s, so you’ll be performing “up to standard.” But what if you’re not? What if you’re competing against a group that gets way more done in much less time? I’m not talking 10 or 20% here; I’m talking many whole-number factors, like 10, 50 or more. What’s going to happen? It’s simple: you’re going to lose! If that’s OK with you, don't read this book. You’ll be happier. This book is part of a series devoted to Building Better Software Better, i.e., achieving superior results (better software) through optimal methods (building software better).

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Continuation of the magically transported group from modern Earth By D. Scott The group on Jorn who were magically transported from modern Earth to a medieval era world continue to travel looking for a home. This is the second book of the series and is very wordy when describing almost every detail of rocks, wagons, towns, etcetera. They also seem to encounter a random gay lesbian addition to add to the group regularly. Most of this seems gone more in an effort to promote a positive view of how modern Earth has progressed to the point where men and women can do whatever they want in society. The characters were very weakly developed and not very interesting. The world of Jord seems like a walk across the countryside with a few evil men to fight every so often. Needs a lot of work to add some action or drama.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I really like this series By Tenqui I really like this series. A tried and true formula of transporting characters to a new world has been developed excellently by the author. This series feels more "realistic" than others of this genre and I appreciate that. It is easy to write about a hero when you give them special abilities to get out of situations, it takes a great author to do the same thing with normal characters.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. a little too easy By Sprinkle This is closer to short story than novella length, and the way the plot unwinds, it seems more like the great beginning of a novel than a complete work on its own.Still, the main character is engaging and the plot is fairly interesting, though there's not much action or real danger. If you're a fan of classic sci-fi, this is a work you can enjoy on your lunch break; you may even find the almost misogynistic ending amusing.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. a spaceship name mcquire By Mike Just When the story started to take off , it ended abruptly . I did not realized that this was a short read . The reasons why the Space ships acted out was explained in two paragraphs , like the author was in a hurry to finish the book . The Characters were believable and jack , the girl, reminds me of a relative of mine. That is why I wanted more story .

That's the important bit to remember(the 60's). The writing is very good, nice character development and well plotted. Randal Garrett did quite a bit of writing for Astounding magazine (pulp science fiction magazine popular during that time) consequently many of his stories had to meet specific expectations and limitations . This may account for the somewhat hasty feel of the conclusion of the story. Overall the story is good example of the writing from the 60'after all, that decade did give us the first man in space (Yuri Gagarin)Intel's design for the first microprocessor on a card and the beginning of ARPAnet the precursor to the internet. Times were changing and were exciting, science fiction was coming of age.

By Bookaholic and More Blog Franco was just tagging along with his grandmother in her quest to sell some antiques. After entering Alicia’s store he was certainly ready to put on the charms not leaving the store before asking her out. Having been hurt before, Alicia was all about hardening her heart and keeping any contact purely physical – no emotions, no attachments. Her self-esteem is at an all-time low. Being hurt by a man will do that kind of thing to you. And when a really handsome wereman declares you are the one after just meeting you, well you can’t blame Alicia for being a little skeptical. To make it even more interesting, Marco, cousin to Franco wants in on the action too and Alicia now finds herself dealing with two men vying for a threesome relationship. She did her best to avoid Steve, her last boyfriend and the one who turned her into a werewolf. But when the elderly care center he ran began mistreating her nana and the other residents, Alicia had to face him once more. True to her gut instincts the meeting didn’t go well and Alicia felt relieved more than ever she didn’t end up with that jerk. Steve ends up trying to change her mind once more at the bar but is abruptly stopped by Franco and Marco. How could she not be falling for these two handsome men?I loved this story line the author wrote, it is very relatable and an easy read for me. The secondary characters and their plights make this a nice flowing read. The grandmother’s match making dinner was a hoot! I know we are talking weremen here but realistic in all other senses and I enjoyed that a lot.The sex scenes were more than exciting between Alicia and her new weremen. And the humor throughout again just made this story all the more charismatic. Angie’s description of Steve being a ‘dreamboat at first but ended up a one-way cruise of his own’ had me laughing out loud. Don’t we all know someone like that? And it’s truly a bonus when you pick up a book and realize the setting is a place very close to your own home, literally.Coming soon! More stand-alone books - all a part of the Sexy in Fur series.

By Tessa This was a sweet tender read.. it started out with some major rough spots but nothing that could not be cleared away and tended to with the loving touch of a true mate. I enjoyed the story a great deal, the characters and their struggles touched me.. I would have liked to see the jerk get more punished for what he did to all those women and the elderly people.

Word has spread across all the nations that the prophesied Lacáruna has arrived to initiate the next expansion of this world. Although Amy Darlidale has passed tests of wits and endurance far beyond what she imagined possible, she struggles for insight into the role she is presumably intended to play in the fate of this world. It’s becoming increasingly clear that an all-out war is being waged by opposing factions—the Arañalianza, bent on making certain that the prophecy is never brought to pass, and the Trotéjo, sworn to make certain it does. A new Trotéjo comrade, isolated for too long to provide any meaningful direction but notably dedicated to the cause, pushes Amy and her band of protectors forward in the search for more clues. As the range of the powers of Lacáruna continue to manifest, Amy is no longer the only one seeing visions. But nothing in her imagination can prepare her for coming face to face with the greatest nemesis of all.

Rusch story (June Sixteenth at Anna's) and Eric Lief Davin's Twilight On OlympusAs always, I recommend you start your Galaxy's Edge experience with issue number one, but this is a very good example of what the magazine can deliver when all the cogs are meshing perfectly.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Good story that felt rushed By Author & Book Lover ****This review contains spoilers****I read the first book of the series and loved the story, the premise and the characters. I love the Keepers vs. Reapers storyline, and find it original in the world of paranormal romance/urban fiction. In this book, I felt the story was a little more rushed or missing some detail. The storyline was just a bit more flat, which was surprising considering the fact that there were many twists to the story. Some of the details just didn't connect for me.-I didn't like the way I'd finish a chapter with Hannah's POV and then have to go through the same scene in the beginning of the next chapter in David's POV.-In the scene where the villains from David's past are holding him hostage in his family's home, how did they know to take him there?-I also found myself skeptical of the fact that David would be so readily accepting when he found the truth out about Keepers and Reapers and that he would all of the sudden, magically, be able to see what they see.-Despite the fact that there were twists in the plot, there just wasn't enough tension in the story to keep me fully engaged. I found it a chore to keep reading at times.- Your stories have great ideas and characters behind them, and showing more than telling how a character is feeling I think would enrich the stories and characters more.I will read other books in this series; I'd love to see Aiden have his own book, or at least his own story/romance.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. An Okay Read By Nickyrian Rating: 3.5/5 StarsI had loved the first book so much. This book started with great concept, but I felt that the story was rushed. Because of it, the logic was thwarted to fully develop into awesomeness--in my opinion. I had enjoyed the tandem of David and Hannah. I wished the author took a different approach in writing their story. On the other hand, I could smell a brewing romance between Liv and Aiden. Not sure how it would become, but it would be a great challenge for the author to make it so. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Love the Estmond Family By TinaMDonnelly I listened to this book on audio.Keeper of the Peace is the second book in the Graveyard Guardians Series and follows Hannah Estmond as she deals with being accused of murder. To make things worse her ex boyfriend who broke her heart is the detective investigating the death. Too bad no one can know that it was really a Reaper she killed.Author Jennifer Malone Wright had me hooked from the first chapter. I had already fell in love with the Estmond family in Keeper vs. Reaper, the first book in the series. When things get tough, this family sticks together. Of course there are arguements and disagreements between them, but that just lends to the authentic feeling of their close-knit bond. It was so great to get to revisit this family and get a closer look at Hannah's life. This series is so darn addicting. I highly recommend it and I am on pins and needles awaiting the next book. I can't wait to see what the author throws at us next.*I listened to this book on audio. I have to say it made it feel even more realistic.

Perfect lady, disgraced lord, traitor, spies, magic with fire, magic with blades and love (of course!). Magic with is fraught with peril—but so is love. Lord Fenimore Trent’s uncanny affinity for knives and other sharp blades led to knife fights, duels, and murderous brawls. Five years ago, he faced a choice: marry Andromeda Gibbons, the woman he loved, or find a safe, peaceful use for his blades by opening a furniture shop—an unacceptable occupation for a man of noble birth. The choice made itself when Andromeda turned to another man. The furniture shop prospered, but now Fen’s partner has been accused of treason. In order to root out the real traitor, he may face another unpalatable choice—to resort to the violent use of his blades once again. Once upon a time, Andromeda Gibbons believed in magic. That belief faded after her mother’s death and vanished completely when Lord Fenimore, the man she loved, spurned her. Five years later, Andromeda has molded herself into a perfect—and perfectly unhappy—lady. When she overhears her haughty betrothed, the Earl of Slough, plotting treason, she flees into the London night—to Fen, the one man she knows she can trust. But taking refuge with Fen proves to mean far more than getting help—it means learning to believe in love, magic, and the real Andromeda once again. Here's what reviewers have to say: "I love historical romances but add in the paranormal aspect and it is perfect." "It was a quick read for me, mostly because I couldn’t put it down!" "A thoroughly enjoyable twist on (a) Regency novel..." Regencies With a Difference! The year is 1811 and the Prince of Wales has finally been declared Regent to rule in place of his incapacitated father. But that is not the most peculiar thing about this London Season… An audacious thief is lifting jewels from under the very noses of their aristocratic owners. Some suspect The Mayfair Shadow may be a member of the ton! An infant is abandoned on the doorstep of three notorious rakes – but which one is the father? Are a series of gruesome murders at Vauxhall connected to the exiled royal house of Moldavia? A perfect young lady, betrothed to England’s most eligible earl, vanishes from a ball on the eve of her wedding. And what about rumors of a virile Viking warrior in the Prince Regent’s court? Enjoy this entertaining Regency series created by a group of award-winning and bestselling historical romance authors!

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. An Entertaining and Magical Story to Delight the Reader Seeking an HEA! By BOOKTALK WITH EILEEN From the first paragraph I knew Barbara Monajem was going to charm the socks off me with her honest-to-goodness hobgoblin. Hobgoblins go by other names so you may know of them as imp, goblin, gremlin, pixie, well you get the picture. Most people can’t see hobgoblins, but Lord Fenimore Trent has one hanging around his home. Hobgoblins can be difficult. You need to remember to always be polite and never, EVER give it something and then take it back. That is, if you care to keep any sort of order in your life! From the first, I appreciated Lord Fen’s work ethic and desire to keep himself busy as a furniture maker. You see, he had a bit of magic in him that necessitated such an occupation. I’ll let Fen tell his story himself, but suffice it to say, it was best for him and those around that he made beautiful furniture. His father was embarrassed at his trade. After all, he was the son of a Marquis, Marquis of Overwood to be exact.Fen’s furniture partner, Harry Wellcome, got himself in a bit of trouble and Lord Fen was determined to get him. At the same time, his past love of five years previous was planning on getting married to Lord Slough (such an appropriate name!) whom Lord Fen suspected involved in some unsavory business, possibly traitorous to his country.I enjoyed character Andromeda Gibbons, a woman full of imagination, nerve, bravery and intelligence. She was also still half in love with Lord Fenimore whom she hated (?!?!?!), but he had dumped her for no reason some five years earlier. That’s when she decided to be the perfect lady, so perfect she eventually began hating who she had become, the fiancée to Earl of Slough. But the saying holds true, you can’t change the spots on a leopard. Underneath all that ladyship, she was some woman!Andromeda’s mother believed in magic and shares that part of her with Andromeda before she died when Andromeda was young. She gave her a locket telling her if she needed desperately help the locket would provide it. After her mother died, her aunt and father had pretty much erased those memories from Andromeda. Can Andomeda regain her belief in magic in time to save herself from certain death? The hobgoblin stole my heart. Harry Wellcome was full of surprises and quite the character. Lord Slough was truly wonderful to hate. The cast of characters was entertaining, creating magic, suspense and romance as Ms. Monajem's stories all provide!.The moral of this story seems to be don’t be in a hurry to believe bad things about what people say about someone you know and trust, even when the confidante is your closest friend.Loved this story from Barbara Monagem with its magic and paranormal happenings nestled in a Regency setting.

His business is brisk for a gentleman turned tradesman. He is a furniture maker. And he is very good at it! His father, however, sees things differently. He does not accept that his son wants to stay in trade. He doesn't understand Fen's love of working. I think he is offended by it!Fen's Partner, Mr. Wellcome has been accused of treason and transporting spies into England. Fen knows this is not true and sets out to find out who is actually doing these things. They figure out that the person must be of noble birth and well known in the ton. They both have a suspect in mind and decide to start watching him. Mr. Wellcome, disguised as a footman, and Fen go to a ball to watch him. Unfortunately, the woman who broke Fen's heart just so happens to be this man's fiance. The man is Lord Slough and his betrothed, Fen's childhood friend, Andromeda Gibbons.Fen and Andromeda both shared something that no one else, except Andromeda's mother, understood or believed. They used magic. They could both see the hobgoblins running around and they both knew true magic. Andromeda's mother had fairy blood. Her father never believed or tried to believe. After her mother's death, her father and aunt persuaded her that it was not real and she lost her magic. And she lost Fen, by the word of what he thought was a friend. Now they meet again in a crowded ballroom, indifferent acquaintances only, she is rude and snubs him, but seeing him makes her realize that her life isn't going where she wants it to. She decides to go a sit quietly to think things out, finding an empty sitting room, she relaxes. Unfortunately someone is coming just as she is leaving, she must hide for she recognizes the voice of the man, it is Lord Slough. She hides behind the drapes and waits. Only to hear an assignation with a Frenchman who was hiding on the terrace. She finds out Lord Slough is a spy!But who to go to? She knows no one will believe a woman. They will say she is hysterical and just wants to end the betrothal. True but beside the point. The only person she knows that will believe her is Fen. Luckily she knows where he has his shop, she just hopes he lives over the shop or comes to work early. Can he help her figure out what to do next? This story is full of magic, a bit of romance, mystery and intrigue! I truly enjoyed the characters. And the touches of magic. It was a quick read for me, mostly because I couldn't put it down! Fantastic writing and wonderful scene descriptions made me feel like I was there! I highly recommend this book and this author!*I received an ARC for my honest review*

Review When faced with its greatest challenge, will humanity rise to triumph or fall to ruin? Aurora Rising is an epic tale of galaxy-spanning adventure, of the thrill of discovery and the unquenchable desire to reach ever farther into the unknown. It's a tale of humanity at its best and worst, of love and loss, of fear and heroism. It's the story of a woman who sought the stars and found more than anyone imagined possible. *** "[A] brilliant trilogy "Aurora Rising" by American writer G. S. Jennsen. You are thrown into action and suspense from the start and the plot of the story unravels at a satisfying pace, all the time giving the feeling of deeper and even more nefarious revelations to come. Aside from a good and believable story its the characters who really make or unmake a book, and here Jennsen really shines...The Aurora Rising trilogy is a must read."-- Book O' Loco

Jennsen is an amazing writer.4. It is my opinion that if you buy and read this book/series, you will gush also. And I'm not even kidding. And this is why I think all of what I just said.1. This book/series is a space opera. Which means it's a really huge story that spans the galaxies. Which means lots of people and places and events. ALL of which were handled beautifully by this writer. I did not scratch my head at any point and wonder - it was all well thought out and nicely tied together.2. The characters were all compelling in their own ways with distinctive and well-developed personalities. There were plenty to love, plenty to hate, and I found myself emotionally invested in pretty much all of them. (Did you hear that, G.S? We need more books about them!)3. The writing was quite well done. In an exciting story such as this one, I sometimes find myself skipping sentences and paragraphs in order to get to more of the story. Not so with this book. I was careful to read each sentence because the writing is just that good. I will echo the other reviewers who have said this book/series is very well done for a first time author. So quit debating with yourself and reading reviews to decide whether or not to purchase and read this book/series. Just do it. And get ready to gush.

Great Read By GerryN For those who love science fiction painted with a broad brush, strong plot lines and well developed characters this is a great read and an excellent closure for the trilogy. You could read this a stand-alone, especially since Jennsen has provide synopses of the two earlier books and a summary list of characters, but I don't recommend it. Transcendence brings together virtually all of the plot lines from the two previous books and - (hope I'm right here) - segways into futher adventers of Alexis and Caleb. In particular, I enjoyed the great dialog, strong female characters, and the male characters who possesed both intelligence and strength, Jennsen adroitly handles combat with nearly invinciple aliens, very human relationship issues, the limitations of human intelligence, control of nearly human artificial intelligence, and the importance of individual actions in complex and diverse society under great stress from both within and without. I read though it in two days and am now rereading it more carefully - and enjoying as much as my first read. Hope you enjoy this trilogy as much as I did.

By Wullie This is one of the best SF series that I have read for some years. With a strong, gripping story-line and a cast of very engaging characters, GS deftly handles abstruse topics including evolution of artificial intelligences and their interface with humans. Set in a Multiverse where the future of humanity is threatened by aliens from another universe, this is the story of the battle between the aliens and the human forces led by Alex Solovy and her friends, both human and AI.Impossible to put down once started, this series is finely crafted and very thought provoking. Highly recommended.

By Austin Vargas Hey its VargasChannel2 from Anime Amino. Just wanted to say I read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought the story was interesting and it definitely kept me reading. But there was minor issue I had, typos. There were a lot of typos. I'm not here to bring you down but you should really fix that before posting for people to buy. If you dont want to go through and fix them all yourself because you don't have the time or maybe you just don't feel like it xD I would definitely do it for you if you just paid me a little to do so. Not much but at least a little if I'm gonna spend the time to do it. But yeah I really enjoyed it but just saying other people are gonna be more critical then I am about typos. I liked the characters a lot and thought the concept was really cool. I'll check out the next one when you release it. Consider me a fan.

The second book in the Percipience series, 2222, is a science fiction mystery novel that touches on the area of the paranormal. Continuing where 2022 left off, the story starts with the discovery of a radio signal that simply should not exist in a post-apocalyptic world. The road to unravel this mystery leads to the clash of two different societies who struggle to survive and to maintain their own culture. While 2022 explored the complexity and urgency of the issues we face now in the real world, 2222 examines the potential outcome and differences that may occur if a different, more sustainable approach was adopted. This book, along with the others in the Percipience series are not just meant to entertain and to raise awareness of important issues. They are also aim to act as a catalyst to get the reader to think and motivate them to take individual actions to help with these worldwide problems. From the back cover of 2222... 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Entertaining and haunting all at once! By Amazon Customer I literally just finished this one and could not wait to comment. The second book of the series and I really didn't think it could top the first book, but it held its own quite abundantly. This one takes place 200 years after the timing of the first book with the survivors of what is called the Great Loss, which is the result of the virus being unleashed in the previous book. There are entirely new characters who end up meeting up with other survivors that were their complete opposites and quite frankly their lifestyles parallel the old thinking in the first book and quite dreadfully the kind of society we find ourlseves in today. There is a start contrast in not only the way of living but also how each think about the world. Some of which are more about modernization and comsumption and the others about sustainability. It ends up being not only a very entertaining story, but also one that is hauntingly thought-provoking, which is my favorite part. I look foward to seeing the new village being cultivated in the new book and wonder if I will get to see that or if there will be a huge leap forward as is found in the first and second book. I am glad there is still a few days left in this weekend, because I am gonna read the next one! I recieved the entire series in exchange for reading the books and giving my honest opinion.
