2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Picks up where book one leaves off. Good second book. By Ram-Z Book 2 picks up the pace a bit. We finds Earth meeting even more aliens and getting thrust into a couple of situations that require more than just shooting the way out to 'solve' a problem. We get a hint of politics but nothing to derail the build up of the forces necessary to defend against the Others.One possible flaw in this book(s) is that things to me have gone too well for Humans. Then again, that might just be because I've read so many other books where it's only at the last minute that mankind comes out a winner. We do get some action scenes that could go either way and I like how the author tries to mix it up but could do a little better at it I think.I read science fiction for the pure enjoyment of a story. Sometimes you just need one that flows, not a lot of detailed thought and for the most part, makes you feel good. This is that story. Looking for the 3rd book.
