Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire. Now in VAMPIRE MOON, sequel to MOON DANCE, private investigator Samantha Moon finds herself hunting down a powerful crime lord and protecting an innocent woman from her ruthless ex-husband—all while two very different men vie for her heart. The author keeps developing the storyline around Sam's family, as well as with her friends (werewolf, fang, etc). Although this book seemed short, and left me wanting to see where Sam goes with Werewolf Boy...it was well written, and I'm definitely pre-ordering the next one!I am definitely frustrated with the ending!! I don't think I can wait until next April to find out Fang's identity....I've got a few guesses though...

The main character, Sam is an ex wife, ex FBI Agent and mom of two who ends up a vampire and is working on getting her "life" back together and dealing with her new abilities and limitations. She has settled into her life as a PI and is dealing with the post divorce issues with her ex and children. Sam starts coming to terms with her darker proclivities which makes her more interesting in this book and gives her more impowerment especially when dealing with her ex husband.

The first is that I like his books. They're not going to win a pulitzer but if you're a fan of "Urban Fantasy" as I am then these are pretty good. The second conclusion is that the author is not delivering as much book as expected. Both books ended about 75% of the way through and you are given a chapter or two of another book to whet your interest. In the case of this book, they ended with two chapters of the first book. I'm willing to bet most readers have already finished the first book at this point.I realize that the price is lower than most books and may well be appropriate for the product but I think the purchaser should be made aware of this in advance. I know that the length of the book is something I always check because I don't want to get involved in a story that is too short. Anyhow, I am making a case for full disclosure to the buyer.
