If u read the first couple books, u know this is a excellent series written by a gifted author. To put it another way, I just cannot imagine someone starting this series and even bothering with reading further reviews. So, this review is mainly for the author. I truly appreciate the twists and turns in ur writing. I am very good and seeing what is to come (ie, I figured out who the he is that's coming almost immediately), but u still surprise me with logical and believable turns of event, which is a rare treat for me.Ur character choices, and their evolution, r well thought out and presented. The same can b said for ur choices as to who dies. There r some choices in both regards that I care for more or less, but that is to b expected and is necessary for a well rounded dynamic.I truly hope ur series obtains the recognition it deserves. Until then, trust ur fans r thankful for the efforts u make. That all said, I do have one side note. Decimate means to reduce by 10%. Such a small thing to complain about, but the incorrect usage gets me every time. Perhaps Reggie will find an opportunity to point that out to the group :)

I have read all the way through Book Eighteen and am desperate for you to write Book 19. I love the Gregorie/Boy storyline and I want to know what happens with them. I also love the horse, Jess, and the dog Meridith. Please do not let either of the animals die!!! Please let the sage of Howie and his gang continue. I have enjoyed this series so much. I listened to all the books that were in Audible.com and was truly impressed with Dan Morgan. He was a great choice as reader. When I ran out of Audible books, I switched over to Kindle and read the rest. I still heard Dan Morgan in my head as I was reading. Mr. Haywood - you are a terrific story teller. You hook me immediately with your storytelling skills. You are also extremely talented at creating characters. Your creations are never dull - they are multi-layered interesting people who seem as alive to me as my neighbors. You are also very skilled at writing dialog. It is so real and very entertaining. Please continue with this series. It is just too good for you to stop now!!!!

I don't know what, but they work well together and also make me laugh. When they come across two buildings with a strange mark on them, they open the doors to find hundreds of Zombies piling out. So they do what they do best, the kill them, now that is not funny, but later they come across some people hiding on a sea side pier.During their discussions they learn that these people have locked up their family's in two buildings and marked the doors. They where hoping for a cure. Now that's bloody funny.
