Not just the first responders, but making all citizens fearful. The Anniversary day started as a celebration of survival. Now, someone has perverted peaceful aliens into willing accomplices in a third devastating attack. If you have read the preceding books in the series, the characters will be very familiar- maybe repetitive. The civil administration in each dome is distinctive, and that complicates the job of security. But this is society fearful of losing air pressure, as the terrorists know. Also, this is a place where many races, not just humans, come and go. So travelers could bring hazard with them.Clues are there; the authorities must unravel trails left by the terrorists (parallels to the Sept. 11 attacks). Legal niceties complicate the task, even limiting the authorities. This is where underworld contacts come into use. An ensemble of moon dwellers work to thwart what they fear will happen next.Like others, this series spends a lot of time repeating itself; how clever Miles is with computers (you'd think he was a cyborg), how much he the characters love their families, and the toll taken on characters' private lives.

To make sense of everything, you need to go back at least to "Anniversary Day" and start reading in order from there until you get to this book.Miles Flint is back in this continuation of the Anniversary Day saga. So is his daughter (Talia), Luc Deshin, Noelle DeRicci, and the rest of the folks in the Moon's Armstrong Dome that I have enjoyed reading about over the course of the series. Things are really getting exciting now. As you may remember, following the Anniversary Day bombing, a number of Peyti lawyers who turned out to be clones attempted their own mass bombing. This book continues the investigation into what is going on and why. Conspiracy theories abound. Facts are starting to be revealed. The next book (Vigilantes) is scheduled to be released next month, and I am waiting with anticipation. .

Story jumps between all the groups involved with solving the crimes and the progress they are making. Miles is back. Excellent plot development. Great reading. Looking forward to how all this resolves.
