But this is not a Diary of any sort. It’s a good short story well worth reading, lots of excitement to be had. Over all it was a fun action packed story. Needs an editor to assist with locating and correct all the place where the wrong word(s) have been used. Spelling and grammar will also improve with the aid of an editor.This is age appropriate writing that will many young readers flipping the pages as fast as they can, while holding them to the edge of their seats.I should probably give this 4 stars for story and quality, penalizing it one for misrepresenting itself as A Diary.

Hooked on James Aquas By Rachel Horon The Diary of James Aquas follows the adventures of young James Aquas, a recruit of the Recon Unit of his home Lapis City. For Minecraft fans, they will love this story from the use of weapons and potions to the small details like pixel tears. James always wondered about the world beyond the lapis stone dome that protects him and his people. With all of his questions that go beyond the walls, his mother suggests he becomes a member of the Recon Unit. She knows it will answer the questions that she cannot and be a good fit for him. His adventures start the day of his initiation test as they discover a plot to destroy Lapis City. Young readers will love the Minecraft references and older readers will enjoy the action and well-written story. If you don't know Minecraft, you will not only learn some of the basics but might also become a fan of the game. As the first book of the series, I'm looking forward to the next story.

He is not a rebel in a disobedient way, but rather one who asks questions about the world around him. He has the good qualities to treat people with respect and does not discriminate by the district where others live. His curiosity is what interests him in the Recon Unit that protects the people of Lapis City. When the city is under attack, James and the new recruits become part of the fight to save their underwater world. This book is full of action , fun and adventure . Even I enjoyed reading it. I will highly recommend this to everyone and give it a happy 5 stars for the wonderful adventurous story. I can't wait for the second book !! :)
