3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Good characters & plot but the ending ruined it all By Luke Thoroughly enjoyed the first two books. Good character development. Enjoyable plot. Then 90% of the way through the last book the author throws it all away. The whole ending felt like he needed to wrap it up and he did it with a bang. Perhaps a better characterization would be with a flop. Hated the ending. Ruined the whole series. I can't remember the last time I was so appalled at how the author ended a story.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. The ending was disappointing By Vickie K It seemed like midway through book 3 that the author kinda gave up. I can't say much more without spoiling the story, so I will say this - what took 2 1/2 books to develop came crashing down in a hot mess in the final chapters. But I do think it's still worth the read.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. ~~Consequences and a Huge Double Cross~~ By Off Grid..and Loving it! The conclusion to this series brings the reader full circle with all of the loose ends tied up. I won't say nicely as two parts near the ending left me shaking my head. After thinking about those two scenarios, I did conclude that both were necessary and just for the state our world was in by that period in time. The consequences of an individual's actions comes to mind when I think about this story. So many instances in this book revolve around actions whether good or bad. One small portion paraphrased states that morality does not equal intelligence. The author hit the nail on the head directly with this one. One double cross by one character leads to a real catastrophe. And, this was dictated by personal revenge. All in all, an interesting read which covers a lot of territory within the US. Decisions made by a few affect many is the best manner I can describe it. I also found the author's note at the conclusion to be spot on in regards to what the future might hold for humans. Most highly recommended.
