I hadn't used my Kindle in over a year and needed a nudge to get going. Impatient after an hour of poking futilely at my screen, I saw this manual and quickly ordered it. I didn't bother to read the sample, and I was having too much difficulty downloading the free Prime copy to begrudge Amazon the $3. Upon reading several pages, I wasn't bothered about spending the $3 as much as by the suspicion that I was the victim of a hoax. Even beyond this, I was troubled by the thought that subsequent buyers would inevitably associate a book like this with my favorite internet store, the seller and sponsor of both the book and the Kindle Paperwhite tablet itself.As a teacher, I've read a lot of bad writing, but there's something about this manual that tells me it was written with intention and malice. I can just see a group of drunk and disgruntled employees taking turns at the project, laughing gleefully at the completion of each atrocious, English-fractured page.Neither you nor Amazon need be victimized. I would quote a few sentences to support the point, but better you read the first page using the "Look Inside" feature. As for the preceding nine 5-star reviews, I'm as suspicious of them as I am of the writer. Normally, I'm dismissive of conspiratorial theories, but this case may very well be the exception.

By ahtram reader After a while, it became apparent that the author is not well acquainted with good sentence structure, choice of words or punctuation. It was a challenge to try to understand exactly what was being communicated. Some of the information was good, but the author's delivery made reading his booklet quite painful. I am fairly certain that English is not his first language. I do thank him, though, for the bit of information I was able to obtain from his effort.

Paperwhite made meaning to my mother only until she read this By Ceida Uilyc I purchased a Kindle Paperwhite for my mother, which was just equivalent to useless until I bought this Users Manual for her. My mom has been an avid reader and the paperwhite seemed the best device for her eyes, hands and portability. However, the simple workings of the device, which I though would miraculous uses for her, was too much for her ached brain. It was then that a friend of mine recommended me to buy this book and the results truly welled up my eyes.She not only uses Paperwhite now, but also uses it like a Pro, or just a tad bit better than me. It has been a blessing, if not anything else, to my mom and I.
