About the Author Dr. Harvey Elliott Black is a renowned physician in New York who has always had a passion for writing. He has been published in many journals for his clinical trials which have resulted in many life saving medications. He was honored by The National Congressional Committee with the National Leadership award for his work as Co-chairman of the Physician Advisory Board. He was also honored for his outstanding teaching of medical students in clinical medicine as a professor of clinical medicine at The State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. He also is known as The doctor to the stars who he treats if they have any medical problems while in New York. He has coauthored songs for the bands Two Bucks and Change and Fiddlin Red with Grammy award winner Ron Levine and Jonathan Levine. But he feels his greatest accomplishments in life are being a good caring doctor and, he hopes, a great dad.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good read! By EndGovernmentCorruption! I hope he writes the sequel and gets it on the market quickly! I also liked his "Effect" trilogy, so far this one compares favorably. I would like to see him write a WWIII novel or series in near future with Russia and China forming an alliance that is met head-on by the Western nations headed by the UK and the USA, with battlegrounds in the Pacific and Central / Western Europe. It would cover some of the same ground as the Effect trilogy but with updated weapons & political scenarios.

Human nature is human nature. With no law and order civilization will break down. Who is there to stop someone from killing you? You will do what you have to do in order to survive. That's just the way it is, Very good book, can't wait for the next book.

The personalization of everyday people in a desperate situation, makes this really come close to home. Makes one wonder if the lucky ones are those that left in an instant when the balloon went up.
