SIGHTINGS is in development to be a feature film. In 1988, Lydia Conner was taken from her cabin near Specter Lake, Minnesota while her husband lay in bed, temporarily paralyzed. She screamed at him for help as she floated up to the ceiling in a blinding flash of light ... and then she was gone. In 2009, four film school students journeyed to the Specter Lake cabin where the abduction of Lydia Conner took place. They hoped to capture proof of an alien visitation on film; they hoped to re-create events from the abduction; they hoped to use themselves as bait ... ... but they encountered much more than they ever could've imagined.

Real good By Tim VanZile Ok - come with me on a trip with friends to a cabin in the middle of nowhere…ummm…yeah…been done hundreds of times…BUTOften times it WORKS! From ‘Evil Dead’ to ‘Dead Snow’ we have all learned that you don’t, repeat with me… DO NOT go into the woods to a secluded cabin with your friends! Only trouble can come and kill you. Never fails. Ever. Like…just don’t do it.Yet, here we find ourselves following a group of college friends out to find the truth about an alien abduction…well…trouble follows. This book, while it starts out formulaic, is good. Real good. An enjoyable ride through things that you recognize, yet soon discover that this book has a few tricks up its sleeve.Perfect for a road trip or a rainy night, I believe you will enjoy this one.

I thought the story flowed very well, and the creepiness factor kept me turning the pages. In fact, I found myself rushing through certain parts because I was so anxious to see what was going to happen next. I found a few things predictable but I never got bored and the story didn't drag (which kept it from landing in my graveyard of unfinished books). In many cases I found myself having vivid mental images of certain scenes and thought it would make a great movie. I recommend this book to anyone who likes creepy stories, but I don't think it's a good idea to read it while sitting outside under the stars......you might be safer under a blanket on your living room sofa....then again........maybe not.....lol.....

"Aliens Will Never Come Peacefully" By Robin Lee This is the first time reading a Mark Lukens novel and it won't be my last....Part sci/fi and part horror this will hold your attention all the way to the surprising end.......It had all the makings of a good alien abduction film.....In 2009 four college students John who is working on his thesis, with friends Veronica, Drew and Fran go up to Specter Lake where a previous abduction may have occurred years ago.....Unbeknownst to them over the years Specter Lake has been a hot bed of UFO Sightings and the Government has bought up a lot of property around the lake.....The friends start out has having some fun in the sun but find out that Fran is the child of the mother that was previously abducted many years ago.....John meanwhile sets up his cameras facing the sky hoping to prove his theory is true while the others are doubtful.....Is he using Fran as bait.....Towards the end of the book strange things start to occur and all hell breaks loose....I found this story very gripping, intense, gory and I finished it in one sitting...Remember one thing when they come there is no place you can hide.......
