4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A great collection of well written and interesting military fantasy! By Brett Hurst I received a free advance reader copy of this title."Operation Arcana", edited by John Joseph Adams, was a great read, with consistently interesting and well written stories. The editor kept the stories on topic, military fantasy, yet diverse enough that it wasn't repetitious. The only small complaint I might make is that a couple of the stories were obviously part of a long running series, and to unfamiliar readers, these stories would be more difficult to fully understand upon first glance. However, this is only a very minor complaint as these stories were still well written and entertaining. So much so, in fact, that I am likely to seek out the series that they are a part of (which is probably the author's intention by including them). In summary, I would wholeheartedly recommend this anthology of military fantasy.

I hope the editor puts another collection together in the near future. I will look for these writers in their individual work. Certainly worth your time.
