The story follows a young man forced by circumstance to be an "honorable" thief. I liked that the competing countries had some gray and were not starkly good or evil.The book layout with sections for each character got a little choppy towards the end as the action picked up and jumped between the characters.Nice first book looking forward to book 2.

The writing was fluid, though it slipped occasionally. The plot is good, something new in the cliched fantasy genre. The characters were developed pretty well. All in all, the author needs to improve his writing style. I would definitely read his other books, and recommend this one to a friend

It has sword fighting and magic. It also has a good story. I will be reading the next book. The author is hoping to have it out sometime in July. I will definitely be buying it.
