The editing was impeccable and the story engaging. I found myself drawn into the character's worlds, but in particular I found Barnabas fascinating. Mr. Foote presents an interesting world rife with intrigue, maneuverings, and outright warfare between the forces of heaven and hell, with Barnabas and Kalyndriel caught squarely between them.You won't be disappointed if you pick this up.

Characters are multi-faceted and engaging. Scenes are set monumentally, yet are cerebral. My first Kindle experience (there were some typos) - I'm not a convert...yet. That not withstanding, this is a different twist on Heaven and Hell and what defines right and wrong or good and bad. In this rendition, those definitions are blurred and that is what makes these characters so engaging. Great read!!

Made me laugh and made me ponder life and death. The author really makes the characters come to life and I was curious to see how each of their stories ended. I hope that the author is just beginning and there will be more books from him
