Even the scenes in the laboratory and hospital managed to maintain my interest with enough suspense and twists to keep the mystery alive. The plot is pretty intricate, playing off good, bad, and shades of gray characters to keep you guessing.

This is a very good, fast-paced book By girlwonder87 In a continuation of the first book, Enhancement, Chris Morgan is faced with the possibility that people might be dying as a result of black-market enhancements he previously developed. He finds himself, along with his friend Jordan, Officer Ana Dellaporta, and Dr. Robin Haynes, caught up in a race against the clock to figure out the cause of and a cure for the mysterious cancer that is rapidly killing Baltimore's enhancement users.This is a very good, fast-paced book. I found it more exciting than the first one in the series. I'd definitely recommend it, and I recommend reading the series in order because they do build upon each other.I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Futuristic Thriller By René I read The God Organ a while back which got me interested in this future world Melchiorri created. He again combined the suspense and science I read in the other book. I especially liked that part of Veronica Powell's role in the book involved the LyfeGen Sustain from The God Organ.Just like The God Organ, Melchiorri combined believable and scary science. I like the cast of characters, though there were less than in The God Organ, and they all had cool roles. Ranging from a doctor, to a detective, an entrepreneur, and Chris, the former bad guy turned good. I highly recommend the book for fans of medical mysteries, sci-fi, or crime thrillers.
