Between the rather dull cover art and the uninspired description I didn't expect such vivid characters, desperate heroic drama, exotic fantasy races (Humans, Elves, Dwarves, sure...but cat-like Sattal, and plant-like Desaid!) The prologue and the first couple of chapters are deceptively mild, after that it takes off.

DEFINITELY.The menagerie of characters are very diverse and weaved together very well. Their stereotypical attributes are personalized with unique character flaws that are seen contributing to the story well. Drawing a story from such a simple premise didn't seem it was going to lead anywhere... but there is a rich world building with a broad mix of mysticism, mythology lore well crafted within the timeline of the story.The author kept the characters consistent within their ethos and hero's journey develops many members of the cast. I really like that there are multiple strong female roles, intrinsic to the stories success.I think you'll find this a good read. Grab the kindle preview and you'll soon buy the book.
