1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Classic Science Fiction in print again By Sarah Cole I first read this book over forty years ago, and it's still a favorite. It follows the adventures of Rex, a companion robot, and his teen-aged master Paul, as they make their way from one of Jupiter's moons to Earth. The story is reminiscent of /Huckleberry Finn/, in that Paul had run away from his family, when they are recalled to Earth, in order to find Rex; and Rex had run away from his new master in order to find Paul. Their adventure, told from Rex's point of view, is a memorable reflection on the extent and sacrifices of friendship, the wonder of new worlds, and the nature of life.

Two, this was the first book I had read that peaked my interests in science-fiction and robots!! I thought, at the time I read it, that it was the most intriguing story I had ever read! I truly wanted a copy for my own personal collection.
