This book was written for my parents; people who needed to know as much as possible, as quickly as possible. There are people who want to know every single little detail about the iPhone, and you will find that in Apple’s comprehensive manual. If you are like my parents though, new to the iPhone and just want to learn all the basics in about 30 to 60 minutes or an hour that is, then this guide will help you. People who just want to know how to add their contacts, how to take photos, and how to email. It’s not for advanced users, though if you are upgrading from the previous Apple iOS (iOS 8) then you will most probably find it useful. If you are ready to learn read on!

About the Author Scott La Counte is a librarian at Anaheim (Calif.) Public Library. He is the author of the book Quiet, Please: Dispatches from a Public Librarian (Da Capo Press, 2008), which began as a series for McSweeney s Internet Tendencies. I love it! -- The book is a quick read, answering everything you need to know as a beginner or as a refresher for a more advanced iPhone user!! Thanks to the author for a great guide book at a very reasonable price!!!

The writing style is rife with grammatical errors By Amazon Customer When my wife and I switched from Android to iPhone recently, I got this book to help get started. I was grossly disappointed. The writing style is rife with grammatical errors. Pages from one section appear in another section. The production was not done well, not to mention the author's ability to write. I suppose some of the points and tips are helpful. Overall, tho, this was a real disappointment. Fortunately, it was not too expensive.
