0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The good the bad and the not so ugly.... By place57 I have been creating training films and animation for abut 13 years. I currently use Adobe CC for most of my work. But I wanted to move to a node based compositor. I have installed Fusion and uninstalled Fusion several times. Each time I get a little further before I get frustrated. Then I bought this book...I love the tutorial format, and I love the fact that they provide you with the examples. Unfortunately, there is a lot of missing assets so quite a few of the tutorials don't work as described. Even with that, you can add your own assets and the tutorials work just fine.The author open with a complete list of every tool and what it does. This was hugely beneficial because it gave you an overview of what you are about to learn. And it helped give me an idea of where the kinds of things I know it can do are located. From there you just go from tutorial to tutorial. Each progressing and building on the knowledge you already learned.If you follow through with all the tutorials, you will have a very good understanding of Fusion. The only real downside to this book (I won the kindle edition) are the typos (common in most kindle books) and the missing assets. Both of which I was easily able to overlook. (except in the review).I would recommend this book to anyone trying to learn Fusion.
