Review Review for Volume 1: (Five Stars) Rich, Rewarding Fantasy. By Donny Swords- Author on November 27, 2014 I usually know within a few pages whether I will enjoy a read or not. The Realmwalker Chronicles: Pillars of Natura Vol 1. is one of those rare books that had the ability to catch me up and carry me along without resistance. I wanted to find out who the successor would be, and I loved the vast universe the author built, for what felt like my sole enjoyment. As is the mark of any great book, the worlds pulled me in, the richness of the characters, the importance of the plot- which revolves around who will wield the Sword of Angios and defend Erta. This novel also contains great illustrations. The artwork cements the story in a meaningful way, building instant nostalgia. It reminded me of some of those old books I loved as a kid, which had pictures worth staring at when I should have been reading. It's a nice touch, and one that is rare- to have such quality art in a well-written fantasy book of such classic quality. The last time I recall seeing something so cool was in Tom Barczak's Veil of the Dragon and S.E. Lindeberg's magnificent Dyscrasia series. I thoroughly enjoyed this element. These are magical worlds. I would recommend The Realmwalker Chronicles Vol. 1 for readers who love high fantasy, and artful prose. I plan to read them all. That's the best compliment I can give this book- that I want more, and you will too. --AmazonReview for Volume 1: (Five Stars)I would fully recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written Fantasy. By William C McDaniel on December 4, 2014 Format: Paperback Not being an avid reader makes it hard for me to read a book straight through, and if it doesn't catch my full attention right away, I'll put it down and forget about it. The Realmwalker Chronicles, by Lee Aarons caught my attention and pulled me from page-to-page, and before I knew it I finished the first volume in no time at all. It left me wanting more, so I fully intend on buying all of the next volumes. With all the information on his website, Lee Aarons gives you all the backup information about his characters, territories, and explains the 17 powers of the lani. I would fully recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written story. --Amazon
About the Author At an early age, Lee was influenced by the classics Moby Dick, Treasure Island, Gulliver's Travels, and Robinson Crusoe, when his grandfather gave to him illustrated versions of these books for his 10th birthday. While he loved the new worlds and adventure that each of those novels provided, he also loved the full page illustrations that were placed periodically throughout the book. It opened these worlds of adventure for him, and ultimately become the images that form in his mind when he thinks of those novels to this day. It was reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy for the first time at the age of twelve which led him to discover his love for epic fantasy, including the works of Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Terry Brooks, and Stephen Donaldson. He also continued to read and become influenced by a wide variety of other writers of different genres such as Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, and Edgar Allen Poe. Lee Aarons first conceived his ideas about The Realmwalker Chronicles in 2004 while drawing a map of a world consisting of four nearly identical continents. He remembered that a cartography professor once told him: "Maps tell a story." Looking at the map he drew, he asked himself: "What story does this map tell?" The Realmwalker Chronicles was the answer to that question. As it was his desire to make illustrations and art an important part of the reader experience within adult fiction again, he teamed up with artist Spenn to develop and create the visual elements of the series. Additionally, they, along with Lee's wife, English Instructor and writer Stephanie Mitchell, form the creative management team for Realmwalker Publishing Group. Working to not only bring their own various properties to market, they also provide creative consulting, marketing and editing services to emerging authors and artists desiring to self publish their own work. Lee Aarons currently lives in Malcolm, Nebraska.

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. I found this volume to be a clear step above the first, a more polished story. By James Schmidt I read Vol. 1 and was surprised by how much I liked it. So I was very excited to dive straight into Vol. 2. The continued adventures of Raine and Rennick Sherrill or should we say the Realmwalker and the Successor. We can not forget Seraph Kanias their mentor either, on this books journey to the Temple of Erta to find the legendary Sword of Angios. I found this volume to be a clear step above the first, a more polished story. The Characters in this book, as the first were fantastic. I was already able to sympathize with the twins and Kanias, and I am now fully invested in their adventure. The world building and the magic system (Lani powers) touched on in the first volume, are expanded on but I feel they are just the tip of the iceberg, and even greater things are yet to come. I am left feeling like I need to know more of this world and I hope everything is expanded on more in future volumes. Overall I have to say that the writing and pacing are taken to another level in this volume. I feel the author obviously grew more comfortable and hit his stride in telling this tale. I look forward to the next volume and cannot wait to continue Raine and Rennick's epic adventure.I was contacted by the author of this book and sent a review copy in exchange for a honest review. - mightythorjrs.wordpress.com
