About the Author Barri Bronston is a life-long resident of New Orleans who takes every opportunity to explore the city’s neighborhoods, museums, parks, restaurants, and watering holes. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia and spent most of her career as a staff writer at The Times-Picayune, where she covered parenting, education, and other topics. She is currently assistant director of public relations at Tulane University.

By Craig Benedetto Great, easy to understand guidebook with well organized walks and great descriptions that are easy to follow as you go along. My wife and I would strongly recommend it for your next visit to NOLA!

However, it is a GREAT guide to New Orleans. I lived in the Crescent City for almost three decades. moving after Katrina incurred her wrath on our home. My heart lives in two places, my hometown and my adopted NOLA. What a treasure for natives, visitors and tourists! Walking the city is a great way to justify all that wonderful food and drink you will enjoy while there!

MCGEE Just back from a trip to New Orleans and purchased this book at the Tulane University bookstore while I was there. Now I can't wait to go back and try some of the suggested walking tours. I've been to the city several times but there is always more to see and I love how the author presents 30 walks you can do by yourself and really get to experience all the wonderful neighborhoods of New Orleans. Easy to follow and written by a native. It's small enough that you can pack it in your bag and bring it along. Enjoy.
