4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Surprisingly upbeat book about selling your soul to the devil! By Kimbermcfar Landon is a good FBI agent that has made some bad decisions . I love Landon's voice , he knows he messed up , but tries to make the best of his fate. He will go the extra mile to to help innocents. I also enjoyed the side characters and hope the show up in the next book. Father Miller Detective Mendoza, Bryce the teen-age wizard, all interesting in their own right. Hope we have a new book soon! Will Landon get the girl and save his soul? Will he really work on learning more magic and be the best Warlock he can be?..

Witty, fun, and full of twists. It had just enough to keep me entertained the whole time while not giving away everything or following some 'called it' plot twists like other books. For someone who wants a great read and loves the supernatural side of things this book is for you!

Reminiscent of Constantine and maybe some Dan Brown esoterica with the POV of a severely witty detective hunting down the denizens most of us are unwittingly rubbing shoulders with day to day.The plot was well thought without giving too much away, and was quite engaging from page to page as I watched through the eyes of detective Landon Graves in his plight with unearthing a worldly darkness while having to deal with the trials of everyday life.No more from me - no spoilers - go get it!
