About the Author Jackie Estrada has been involved in comics since the late 1960s, when she and her then-husband Davey Estrada collected comics and subscribed to just about every fanzine. She attended the first San Diego Comic-Con in the summer of 1970 and she has been to all of them ever since. She began volunteering with Comic-Con in 1975, handling PR chores. She went on to edit the souvenir book and other publications beginning in 1977, and off and on through the 1980s and into the 1990s. Since 1990 she has been the administrator of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, comics' most prestigious awards program, and over the last decade she has produced Comic-Con’s at-show events guide. Jackie has been an avid photographer since her first course in college in the mid-1960s,and her photos of comics creators have appeared in numerous books and publications.

Feist For those of us who were there (I started going in 1978), the evolution of the San Diego Comic Convention and what it was like from it's inception until it's become the monster media con of today is very hard to put into words. But Jackie did an amazing job putting it into pictures. If you wondered what the greats looked like back in the day, in a social setting, people like Jack Kirby, Kelly Freas, Julie Schwartz, Marie Severin, as well as a young Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Colleen Doran, Wendi Pini, and some guy named Feist, this is the book for you. I was there, and so many of these pictures reminded me of things almost forgotten. Brava, Jackie!

Another fabulous book of photos from Jackie By Richard Rogers A second book from Jackie Estrada full of photos of the creators/writers/artists behind so many stories and artwork I have enjoyed for decades. Once again I was more than happy to be part of the Kickstarter campaign to help this book be published, (and have my copy autographed by Jackie). If you're a real fan of comic books and the people who create them, this book is for you!

Cox Outstanding Sequel to Comic Book People 1, A Must Read, Must HaveComic Book People 2 is another must have book from Jackie Estada. Like Comic Book People 1, the 2nd volume is packed with great photos and easy to read text. If you are a professional or want to be a professional in the Comics Industry, this book is for you. Both volume 1 & 2 are worth getting.
