Review The Knowshi MagazineBook Review by: Ifakoya EnglishThe Nephilim Brood begins with your standard abduction plot but quickly changes into a story about survival on a new planet where humanity has split into two factions. The Pre-Neanderthal-like carnivores and the regular humans. It is an interesting tale with an equally interesting concept that doesn't try to beat a message or thought into your head with a wooden club. It is a fun story, with a few attention grabbing twists and turns.Where this novel shines is in the diversity of characters which Paraiso creates masterfully. They are all unique and entertaining and bring this novel to life. With this diverse group of characters, The Nephilim Brood fulfills all the requirements of a fun and engaging novel. It's is a good read. We recommend.
About the Author Michael K Paraiso was born in Chicago Ill in 1962, grew up in Miami Fl. Has been happily married to wife Karen since 1988, had daughter Nicole in August of 1994. He's an accomplished expert in the electronic security industry. Michael was first inspired to write the Nephilim Brood in late August 1992, days after hurricane Andrew had first made land fall. He awoke to the sound of a chainsaw, sweat-soaked from the south Florida humid heat with the basic plot to this story fresh in his head. He was disappointed that he was awakened from such an adventure, but perhaps he wouldn't have ever remembered this amazing story if he hadn't been awakened while still dreaming it. Years had passed since then and he suddenly had the desire to write this epic tail. He's well aware of some of the controversial content of this fictional story, but Michael was compelled to write it unencumbered and just let the story flow without reservation. His intention was never to cast a shadow into anyone else's sunshine and in no way is this fictional story any kind of a religious belief. It's merely an idea of a possibility. He hopes you enjoyed reading it as much as he enjoyed writing it...

By Christopher J Henry This is a novel written for a purpose: to try to sell yet again wild biblical interpretations combined with a socialist political view. If you are looking for interesting characters, action, or entertaining speculation about what might really be happening in our universe, look elsewhere. I'm guessing all the previous reviews were written by the author's relatives.

I'm not overly religious and I'm not an atheist; I believe creationism and evolution are both possible. I never thought it out as much as this author, but his ideas certainly opened my eyes and every premise of this story seems entirely plausible to me. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this story; in fact, I read it in 2 days and had to work on one of those days. I almost wish there was a second part, but it would be unnecessary, as this book is complete and the story very satisfyingly ended.I was very surprised by the social mores and relationships that were explored. There are some really good lessons in this book, too. I honestly think everyone should read this. Who knows, it could make the world a nicer place. It could use a better editor but, overall, the editing was not too terrible.
