Excellent in between story for visitors to Pitchfork County By Andres Pedraza Pitchfork County is one of those places that grow on you from the first page. This novella was a visit to the county in between two of the series' books, and it serves its purpose well. Sam's writing improves with every offering, and one can see that his storytelling, already good, is going to be stellar very soon.Ghost Hunters follows a team of TV Ghost Hunters, as its name indicates, that venture into Pitchfork County after the events of Half-Made Girls. Pitchfork County is an easy place to venture into, not such an easy place to get out of, though. Dark Entities straight out of Lovecraft seem to enjoy visiting, or even relocating there. What starts as yet another lame reality show venture turns really dark, really quick. Luckily, no matter how dark things turn in Pitchfork County, there's always someone around to make sure Darkness is addressed.If you like horror mixed with rural as well as some dark humor, Sam Witt's Pitchfork County novels and novellas are for you.

What attracted me was the blurb that it was perfect for fans of the Dresden Files. Maybe the next book in the series is, but this book isn't necessarily. This isn't Urban Fantasy--it's Horror. And that's fine if you like horror, but if you go in looking for a Dresden-esque experience, you might be disappointed.Anyway, the story was really good and engaging... There were a few typos, but nothing overly major. I'm definitely interested in continuing the series--the author did a great job of giving it a visceral, creepy feel.
