By Sabrina Jean I am a very big fan of the Perseid Collapse series, saw this addition from Matt Hart and picked it up. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I knew it was a short story, but hadn't realized that it was actually TWO stories, located on opposite ends of the country! I fully enjoyed his writing and quickly became engrossed in each story. My only (selfish) complaint was that they weren't full length books. I want more! I want to know what happens to the characters next! Of course, that's how I feel about most books, so it's not an entirely new feeling. ;)But I've now found that Matt Hart has a series of his own! It's called, 'Apocalypse Makers' and he's already produced a Book 1 & 2! So, after loving his writing style in this book, I'll be picking up a few more! I look forward to his series and (with what he could do with great short stories) to see how much more his writing grabs me! Great job!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK By lee Most readers don't buy single short stories individually. They are usually bought in collections. But I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the Perseid Collapse world series. I saw it was sitting there, unreviewed and I felt bad for the author. I could quickly read it and post a review. So I did and am doing. The author doesn't have any other published work, so I don't know if he's serious or not. I keep going back and forth between 2 or 3 stars. The main character was very quirky The author presented his story in a clever wqy. The author seemed to be making fun of preppers. I would still like to read more about what happened to him and the ones he befriended . Something beyond a short story.
