Here we get more sci-fi stuff that's being constantly alluded too again. It's explained a little better too but not by much. So, that helps a little in the sense of the plot going forward. Unfortunately, the plot starts to show a big gaping hole. It's as noticeable as the main character's missing eye. I get that they want to make the lead important but this was a dumb way to do it.The politically goofy stuff is still here. All women are mothering and sexing up the leads if they can. The closest you get to an imperfect woman is a little girl assassin but even she proves to be better than Zero during his child assassin episode. When little boys worship their mom or when teenage boys fall in puppy love, it can be sweet and cute. Ales Kot is a grown man and should be a bit more nuanced and mature. You know see women as human beings with strengths and faults all their own on an individual level like men. Especially given the story Kot's trying to write but instead he's resorting to a form of sexism that's less likely to be called out.He also brings back the Israelis from the beginning of the first volume whom he wants you to view as villains but given everything going on in the book they seem more like good guys despite what he desires. Between the agency and everything going on there, it's hard not to see these guys as fixing things that needed fixing. Unfortunately, it's just more of Kot trying to hard to prove his western leftiness or grad school cred by showing those Israelis to be a bunch of evil monsters. All the other major villains and characters pretty much got their moments of nuance. To Kot, Israelis don't deserve it. The murder of the Israeli that lead to all of this also showed a lack of general understanding and that was a nuance that could've been played up. Kot doesn't care though as that character got his redemption. He just wants you to cheer for some Israeli killing. At least it leads to a really well done fight sequence by a guy I've never heard of before this. His name is Marek Oleksicki and he's talented. He has a style that lent itself great to the action sequences. I hope he does more stuff.Speaking of the visuals, Kot basically lets them carry the book. He should really give these guys co-writer credit. Besides Oleksicki, you also get Adam Gorham, Ricardo Lopez Ortiz, and Alberto Ponticelli. It's amazing how many really talented people worked on this series so far. I got the feeling that if the series ends in only 18 issues because of a combination of Kot's spotty writing, which is fine in collected form but I'm sure horrid by monthly waiting, and a market that right now is flooded when it comes to comics. Seriously, picking a comic up right now is pretty easy with a ton of people trying to break into the market and the internet creeps trying to be the taste makers. It's a shame too cause they are of course bought out by various other interests in the form of presents and ad purchases.I'm in too far. I'm gonna pick up Vol 4. I'll say that this isn't bad as much as it's muddled and trying to hard to prove itself. With a bit of editing, it could've been something more. Vol 4 might seal the deal. We'll see.

The change of artists from issue to issue brings freshness and grit to the world of Agent Zero. This volume serves as the real conclusion to Agent Zero and shouldn't be missed by any fan of comic books or great storytelling.
