Darren Wearmouth was born in Yorkshire and spent six years in the British Army’s Royal Signals Division before pursuing a career in corporate technology. After fifteen years working for telecommunications firms and a startup, he decided to follow his passion for writing. A sportsman, he loves watching and playing football, cricket, and golf. His other hobbies include reading, mountaineering, and socializing. He also has a hidden talent for Italian cooking. He currently resides in Manchester, England.
Marcus Wearmouth was born in Yorkshire and also spent six years in the British Army, serving in the Royal Electronic and Mechanical Engineers. He graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in surveying and now owns a consultancy that specializes in subsidence. Marcus loves spending time with his two wonderful children, Andrew and George. He currently resides in Harrogate, England, and is secretly a very gifted bagpiper.

What A Thrilling Vacation,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Glad You Enjoyed Your Stay,, By Robin Lee It was a nice surprise that "First Activation" wasn't a redundant "zombie novel"..Right from the first chapter I was sucked into this story..What a suspenseful, intense, bloody, thrilling vaction I had with brothers Jack and Harry..Non-stop action right until the last paragraph of the page...Then fade to black..(If your into artistic independent films that is the way they end sometimes)..Loved the originality and storyline it was refreshing..Great characterization of both brothers from England..My first thoughts of the two brothers on the plane is that they were 30 something big boys looking for fun..Both were ex-military that were never involved in any combat..The author slowly developed them along their horrifying journey where they turned into smart, grown men with a tactical plan..No matter what the shocking turnout is in the end Jack and Harry were my heroes..Perfect depiction of a war torn NY, especially if you as a reader have grown up there..When the flight landed at JFK airport you could feel the panic and terror spilling from the pages...Great opening scene and excellent authors..The premise of the novel is exactly like above so I am not repeating it..I will say that Genesis Alliance was like an underground cult and conspiracy that took many years of planning..As all evil masterminds want is to overthrow the govenment to create that ever, elusive New World Order..Will Jack, Harry and Lea get there in time before the second activation is set to go off...While some may have mixed feelings about this book or the ending..I found this book had everything death, survival, at times witty humor, very emotional and the best part "Revenge"...I can't wait to read something else by these authors in the future...

I hate to buy a book and then have it turn out to be bad. This one was only 99 cents and even though no one had reviewed it yet, the description sounded interesting so I took a chance. I'm really glad I did! The writing is good, and the book keeps you guessing. It held my interest and even though the characters weren't as fleshed-out as they could've been, they were likeable (the main ones anyway) and interesting. To me that's important, because if you don't care about or like the characters, you won't care what happens to them. The premise of the book, the activation, was something different and kept you guessing because you didn't always know who had been actually affected by it. I'd recommend this book, and would definitely read other works by these authors.
